after some girl shopping and a quick stop at Michael's for some crafty goodness; we ended up swinging by the Christian Book Store. My girls love going in there and just picking up either the latest Christian music or a few books hat catch their eye. Jeanelle picked up several books, one of them which was God's Girl and Nataleigh picked up a few of her own. Some devotionals for girls as well as a knock knock joke one lol.... she's toooo cute and had us laughing all the way home!!!! I purchased some up for my hubby as well A Father's Almanac Devotional book and another one which I know he would be blessed to read!!!! Last but not least I had been wanting to pick up a copy of Bringing Up Girls a book by Dr. James Dobson from Focus On The Family. I had been wanting to get my hands on a copy for a few months and until yesterday I was blessed to have found it! Finally, I have the so waited book in my hands and have just left of on half of chapter 4. I am so blessed to own a copy of this magnificent and well written book I am impressed to want to read it after listening to a talk show on it and of coarse I have two gorgeous girls and what best than to read it and get advise from this great man of God. Especially in this society where girls are in such a struggle and in a hurry to want to grow up so fast!!!! Will definitely let you know what I thought about it later on so far so good and all I can say is thank you Lord for our beautiful Girls that we are bringing up.

Good for you Alee'! Dr. Dobson has the best advice EVER for raising kids! He just makes so much sense, doesn't he? It's all based on Bible principles and our love for the Lord! Enjoy your book! :o)

Yes, I am so excited to be reading this book and it makes such sense now my hubby will too need to read it and he will def. be blessed by it esp. because he so much adores his lil' girls that are not so little anymore :D.... I had heard Dr. Dobson talk about this book on the radio show a few months back and I was so excited to have found it at our local Christian book shop :) I am really excited about it! ReplyDeleteLove Dr.Dobson but havn't read this book. We don't have a Christian book store but will have to check CBD on line and see if they have it. I also have 2 precious girls and can always use good advice and wisdom. TFS

It took me a while to gets my hands on a copy and I don't regret it it's absolutely a must for all of us raising a new generation and now I know why my parents would tell me all the time that I didn't understand everything back then and now that I have my girls I do this book has opened my eyes in many ways!!!! :) I am beyond blessed to be raising girls it will!!
